WorkStation Crane

CraneVeyor TranStation Free Standing WorkStation Crane System includes:

  • Bridge
  • End Trucks
  • Hoist-Trolley
  • End Stops
  • Runways
  • Support Assemblies
  • Hanger Assemblies
  • Splice Assemblies
  • 4-Conductor #14 Flat Cable
  • Festoon Trolleys & Festoon Stack-Up Section.

NOTES: Adequacy of floor to support loads imposed by bridge system is to be determined by others, 6″ thick nominal reinforced concrete slab. Bracing to building is not required. All Systems are suitable for seismic zone 4.

FEATURES INCLUDE:

Free Standing WorkStation Cranes are self-supporting, independent, and require no bracing or building tiebacks. Unlike other “free standing” systems that need sway bracing and a 6″ reinforced concrete floor, our cranes only need a 5″ concrete slab, making them easier to install and more cost-effective. This makes them the best choice for outdoor installations, temporary workspaces, and open areas where structural support is limited.

Designed to meet seismic zone 4 requirements, these workstation cranes offer enhanced durability, stability, and safety in demanding environments. Unlike some manufacturers that use clamp/slip connections, our design features fully bolted ASCE-approved connections and structural steel tubing, ensuring long-term reliability.

Additionally, the low-profile design requires minimal headroom, making these cranes ideal for facilities with height restrictions. The modular construction ensures that sections can be easily expanded or relocated, adapting to future workspace needs without major modifications.

PRECISION LEVELING FOR SMOOTH OPERATION

For seamless crane movement, runways must be level. Our adjustable anchor system allows for up to 1″ of vertical adjustment, compensating for uneven floors. For greater deviations, we offer customized column heights. Once leveled, the base is grouted for full slab bearing (5″, 2500 psi concrete), keeping soil pressure below the 1000 psf limit allowed by the Uniform Building Code.

These features ensure safe, smooth, and efficient operation, making Free Standing WorkStation Cranes an ideal choice for factories, warehouses, and maintenance areas.

WORKSTATION CRANES – FREE STANDING SYSTEMS INCLUDE:

  • Enclosed track bridge with end trucks, stops, and a trolley for a hook-on hoist or other lifting device.
  • Enclosed track runways, including support frames, hanger assemblies, splice assemblies, and mounting hardware. Even floor-mounting bolts and grout are included.
  • A festooned electrical system for the bridge and runway, complete with trolleys, 4-conductor #14 flat cable, clamps, and a stack-up system for better cable management.
  • Layout drawing, assembly instructions, and manuals for simple and quick installation.

WHY CHOOSE FREE STANDING WORKSTATION CRANES?

  1. Fast Installation & No Extra Support Needed – Unlike other systems, these cranes bolt directly to most concrete floors (5″ nominal), requiring no additional bracing or foundation work.
  2. Seismic-Ready Engineering – Built for seismic zone 4 standards, ensuring superior stability in earthquake-prone regions.
  3. Easy Expansion & Relocation – Modular design makes it simple to add sections or relocate without disrupting operations.
  4. Heavy-Duty & Reliable – Fully bolted ASCE-approved connections provide long-lasting durability.
  5. Cost-Effective Solution – Requires less concrete support, reducing installation time and costs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

1. What are the main advantages of Free Standing WorkStation Cranes?

  • Free Standing WorkStation Cranes provide independent support, requiring no additional bracing or foundation work beyond a 5″ concrete slab. Their modular design allows for easy expansion or relocation, and they are built to seismic zone 4 standards for maximum stability.

2. Can these cranes be used outdoors?

  • Yes! Because they don’t rely on a building’s structure, Free Standing WorkStation Cranes are ideal for outdoor applications and other open areas. They withstand various environmental conditions while maintaining structural integrity and smooth operation.

3. How do I determine the right WorkStation Crane for my needs?

  • Choosing the right crane depends on load capacity, bridge length, hook height, and runway span. Our models support capacities from 250 lbs. to 4,000 lbs., with bridge lengths up to 34 feet. If you need assistance selecting the best system, contact us for expert guidance.

4. What additional features are available?

  • We offer motorized movement, conductor bar electrification, mixed capacity systems, and custom designs for higher hook heights or low-headroom spaces. If you need special configurations, we can tailor a solution for you.
